How much does a project typically cost?
Every project is different — scope, site conditions, and soil type all affect pricing. We don’t offer ballpark quotes over the phone because we’d rather give you an accurate number than a surprise. Reach out and we’ll get you a proper estimate based on your actual project.
How quickly can you get started?
Typically within 2 weeks. During peak season this may extend to 3–4 weeks depending on scope. Pile installations can often be done in half a day; underpinning takes around a week. We always give you a realistic timeline upfront — no vague estimates.
Do you provide engineering reports for permits?
Yes. We work alongside qualified engineers and can provide structural documentation required for building permits. This is standard with helical pile work and can be arranged for other services as needed.
Are you local or a franchise?
VanB is 100% locally owned and operated — based in Wallaceburg with deep roots in Southwestern Ontario. We have an affiliation with Pro Post Foundations for helical pile work, but VanB is its own independent company. Your project is handled by us, not passed down a franchise chain.
Do you work with contractors or just homeowners?
Both — but a significant part of our business is working with contractors who need a dependable sub for below-grade work. If you’re a builder or GC looking for a team you can call repeatedly, we’d love to connect. We also work directly with homeowners on foundation repair, septic, and excavation projects.
What areas do you serve?
Our primary area is Lambton and Middlesex counties, with a growing focus on London and the Sarnia area. We also serve Essex, Chatham-Kent, Elgin, and Huron. Call us and we’ll tell you straight whether it’s a project we can take on.
